I don't blame Next Level Games, Punch-Out!! On the Wii still did pretty well, nowhere near as Luigi's Mansion 2 & 3, and Mario Strikers, but a million copies is not too bad, also if Next Level Games does remove the stereotypes, they would indeed get backlash, not from everyone, but from a growing number of far right MAGA Anti-Woke people on YouTube and X (Previously Twitter), especially since Trump has been reelected as President, this type of "Woke" backlash has been shown in the Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door remake on the Switch 1, when they reverted Vivian back to a Transgender from the original Japanese GameCube version, and Sonic X Shadow Generations has changed some cutscenes and dialogue from the original Generations, so it's best to wait until this Anti-Woke activism dies down and when Trump gets his comeuppance, only time will tell.
