Small edit for the guide, but you have to force it before Deadline #7, since #3 and #7 are auto-red text and Deadline #8 is the round that the phone and key transform.

If you fail to get your Floppy Disk's third slash by Deadline #7 and therefore missing the opportunity to transform your phone - all hope is not lost. Grab a hold of the Black Skull Key. If you can make it to Deadline #15, you'll get another Red Text Call just as you had gotten earlier - ignore it. If you successfully complete Deadline #15 you will receive your third slash on your Floppy Disk. Your phone will transform and the Black Skull Key that you have been holding all this time will turn white.

I don't recall if I received any Red Text Calls between Deadline #8-14, but just ignore them if they do. Good luck, gamers!
