The reason people hate it is because being a vampire in Skyrim is easy. In Oblivion there is a slight bit of a challenge to being a vampire. Many of the current players are new to Oblivion and expected a system like Skyrim. So that is why people are complaining. Basically being a vampire in Oblivion is too hard for new players. There is a simple solution. Just go out at night. Hide in caves and then wait. To be honest the vampire system in Oblivion is more immersive. What would a real vampire do during the day? They would hide from sunlight.

I prefer to use the soul trap exploit when creating spells in morrowind. You can create permanent bound weapons, summons, and buffs. All you have to do is add soul trap on target for one second to any spell the player creates. Then just point the crosshair all the way down to the ground and cast. If done correctly you will see a couple of pink rings appear for a a second or so.
