See AllThousands of Magic: The Gathering Players Sign Petitions After Latest Commander Ban List Update
Excluding the fact that proxy cards exist. Some people want authentic cards. A budget player making a few 10-20$ purchases per year to accumulate a 100-300$ deck is an investment in the game. If they build right, they should be able to win based off of skill and game knowlage. Even against a 1000$ deck, they should be able to have a chance if they know what their doing. However, if the 1000$ deck has a cheap 2$ combo but the other 900$ of value in the deck is just fast artifact ramp, reserve list cards and a card like Dockside which is NEVER fun to play against?? Brother, not everyone can access those cards!!! Thats pay to win. The expensive deck, is paying money to out ramp their opponent who stuck to making a budget value engine. Thats not fair. Keep these cards banned and make a secondary format where these powerful cards are legal if you NEED to ramp this fast. Sol ring, signant, talisman are all fine and good enough for fast ramp that EVERYONE can access. If you are mad at these bans, you just want to pay to win, and thats not having a fun game, thats being lazy and egotistical. You cant always win, and your wallet should not be your win con.
