Modern Warfare 3 cements itself as one of the biggest blunders in the series.

Right off the bat, the Campaign is easily the most undeveloped of any Call of Duty, abandoning the standard linear missions players love for various cobbled-together open combat missions that feel more like Warzone. The few linear missions that did make it into the Campaign were rather bland, and the holes in the story make it clear that the Campaign as a whole was rushed through development.

Modern Warfare Zombies is equally uninspiring, taking DMZ elements to create a new spin on the popular co-op mode, but instead creating a version that, while appealing to a niche group of players, abandoned much of the elements fans have grown to love.

While Multiplayer was the saving grace for Modern Warfare 3, delivering smooth movement and fast-paced gameplay, much of its launch and post-launch content consisted of map remakes and other content we had already seen before.

The seasonal content and events for Multiplayer, however, were pretty engaging and unique, leading to a decent Multiplayer experience post-launch.

An innovative Battle Royale game that has shaped the gaming industry.

Fortnite Battle Royale is a true marvel to behold, starting off as a mere passion project before skyrocketing into the face of gaming.

The game itself is pure fun, pitting players against each other on an ever-changing island and featuring a seasonal release format that introduces new modes, gameplay features, and exciting additions. The raw gameplay is some of the smoothest across all of gaming, and while the art style is definitely tailored to younger audiences, it has a unique charm that will rope in even the most mature players.

While the game has received some criticism in recent years, notably related to its shift toward frequent crossovers and microtransactions, Fortnite is without a doubt my favorite game to jump into.
