See AllMagic: The Gathering's Armageddon and Wheel of Fortune Are Two Sides of the Same Coin
I find there is a huge difference between Armageddon and Wheel. Armageddon always slows a game to a crawl regardless of deck design.
Wheel... Yeah in a mill type or wheel deck to grind things away and hurt people, frustrating. But the love you get when the idiot played Armageddon and everyone has 1or 2 cards left in there hand is palpable.
It just seems Armageddon sucks all the time, Wheels value can be much more nuanced and situationally dependant and of value.
After Helldivers 2’s Control Group, One Warbond Tradition Should Be Dead and Buried
Oh gee, let's put a higher bar entry for new and casual players from accessing the warbond. Let's put a larger grinding requirement meaning those with limited play time lose interest after seeing no progress or feeling very limited progress decide to put their time and money else where. Or hey, we can just make it a pay wall as those who can't grind would have to pay. And hey all those warbonds that newer players haven't unlocked, you are just closing them off longer, dragging things out, pushing people away save for those who can grind or spend.
And sure medals which drop at lower levels often seem to dwindle when playing higher difficulties as the site that drop such switch to rare samples or other layout, forcing players who need to grind to make a choice of grinding lower difficulty or contributing more to the war.
I understand your concept, but boy does it only favor the grinder and really hurts casual or late joining players, just for the reason because you want to drag things out which is a poor choice for others.
