i didn’t like Callisto when it first came out but then I tried a year or so later and I actually thought it was ok. Not as bad as people made it out to be. And it was BEAUTIFUL. This idea that the story focused on the present rather than what led up to it is a little much. They could’ve added more lore or whatever but the game was him getting out of the situation he was in. Later titles could’ve explored more. I thought it was all melee but I ended up getting plenty of ammo. The save system was kind of messed up and more enemies would’ve been better, but compared to the amount of absolute slop that’s been getting released and franchises being just ruined, it wasn’t THAT bad. I enjoyed it, and I’m pretty picky with games. I think people just had unreasonable expectations. It’s ok to have high expectations, but to follow in the foot steps of Dead Space? Man. Good luck.
