The reason this article failed to explain why The Crow remake failed I'd because the author shouldn't be reviewing things they have no real grasp on. It failed plain in simple because of 17 rewrites, 4 directors mangled what was a great concept into something so far off from what it was and constraints put ridiculous financial and completion deadlines so extreme that..... Well if you saw it you know. The 94 movie was a masterpiece, that is proven in the massive following and the appeal of the movie today... Yes I said today.. That's where this author twisted the truth, the movie is still very much popular as with everything else 90's, that era does actually do really well now when portrayed on the big screen as well as in many other facets like fashion and music. Hate to burst the writers bubble but the 90's is the top trend now and you might as well swallow that, the only thing you got right was that The Crow didn't need to be rebooted, because you don't need to remake a masterpiece, it stands on its own. Being not only a film buff but also an industry insider for nearly 30 years The Crow 94 could be re-released in theaters today and I and many others here can all say with no little doubt it would do extremely well at box office against any of today's content, probably even better
