I still think the last is going to be Yamato. My reason, usually the "canidate" who does not join, ends up in some leadership role that can would make that territory an ally to Luffy. Perfect examples are Vivi and Carrot. But Yamato is an extra in Wano because of Momonosuke. Last time the same occasion was Jinbei, and he joined later after taking care of his affairs first, same setup as Jinbei. Plus I think Oda wanted to power up Zoro and Sanji a little more, because at the moment their would be questions if Yamato was stronger than both, which would cause chaos in the established crew power structure. The same issue could have occurred in Jinbei joined immediately as well.

Confirmed...seriously...as this article even said in the body. It was confirmed by Kaido. And even after Kaido confirmed it...Zero was not surprised and seem like he knew about it already...

Honestly Shino SHOULD of never been on the list. His ability was so op that he was the first to actually hit Orbito, which even Kakashi could not hit. He was definitely not weak in Naruto. His abilities made him a master scout, long distance communication and an attack that is completely impossible to escape 100%. I think the author created him and realized his abilities and that of his clan were just to much. Perfect proof of this is the times we see his team going out and Shino is conveniently on missions with his dad. I honostly think he got limited time due to the author fearing people seeing him as the strongest of his generation and thus downplaying Naruto.

Um the first mate of a pirate crew was not necessarily the second in command of the ship...the first mate of a pirate crew was the one in charge of leading the boarding parties... So in that respect Zoro is the first mate...
