See All8 Open-World RPGs That Secretly Play Better Without Any Fast Travel
Cat Quest was fun, although waiting until the last act to get the Flying machine seemed a bit long. And no fast travel.
Just started Cat Quest 3, the map seems bigger. At least they give you a ship from the start. Haven't gotten far enough to know if there will be faster transport available later.
It's such a cute game.
Unfortunately, I found Cat Quest 2 to be unplayable.
This Diablo 4 Season 10 Infernal Warp Farm is Virtually Unbeatable
As a casual player, a few hours a week. I doubt that starting now with my limited time and limited season 10 calendar, would accomplish much.
This is the type of situation that really bugs me about D4 basically going full online-multi-player.
I felt that they had an almost perfect mix of offline and online content with Diablo 3.
I suppose most people must prefer for the game they are playing to change significantly every 3 months to keep them interested, whereas a vast minority of players just want to purchase a game that has a good interface and a definite endpoint, or something that feels like an endpoint. I never found that with D4.
Playing Diablo 4 the last few, months it just started to feel like a neverending series of fetch quests to me with very little actual story or content.
I suppose I just misjudged my expectations based on D2 and D3 experiences.
It has also begun to feel like the game is becoming too complicated for its own good. I get that there is a core player group that is lapping all of this up like an endless gravy boat. But for the less hard core players, I think Diablo is losing us.
At this point I wouldn't even consider buying a Diablo 5, but I suppose that is the whole point. D4 seems to be engineered just like with Elder Scrolls Online, it's a Neverending single game. The new paradigm seems to be just release one version of a game, then keep throwing upgrades and code patches at that single version of that one game until it is so massive and complicated that the barrier to entry is daunting for any new players. Nevermind that any type of story becomes irrelevant and stale.
I suppose that is why we have multiple publishers making multiple games.
I played D3 consistently almost 3 years.
After 3 months with D4 I find myself constantly hunting the internet for farming tips and explanations how to implement the newest mechanics rather than playing the game.:(

Diablo 4 Content Creators Tease Big Changes for the Game After Blizzard Meeting
Definitely still bummed that D4 is an online only game. Traveling constantly for work, hotel wifi is very hit or miss. Many days I can't even play because the speed is so slow, it just kicks me off.
That's why I waited whatever it's been 2 years? To purchase it on sale. Not worth full price for a game I can't play whenever and wherever I want to.
D4 has been so popular that I doubt we will ever see another offline game..Elder Scrolls 6 or whatever, forget about it. It will just be a financial gougefest going forward.
