I mean... 1) 2.7 k versus 200K plus likes, so it's more like a few (That's about one in a thousand out of people that actually click like or dislike). 2) he cries in the manhwa too (chapter 89 if anybody wants to check). 3) his whole goal on getting stronger was purely to go get that elixir once he found out it existed. So this is literally the accumulation of most of season 1 and 2. It was not for money, game, or anything else. Also I watched that episode at least three times, it's the one that kicks you in the feels. And has some of the most epic scenes.

If he was purely stoic you'd be wondering if he was just a cardboard character, or a psychopath. (Accept a psychopath wouldn't care about bringing back his mother and would sell that elixir to the highest bidder)

Edit, oh also most episodes have some dislikes so it was only a small increase compared.
