See AllEx-DICE Developer Says Battlefield Fans Should 'Temper Their Expectations'
Didn't 2042 (and 5, to a much lesser extent, remember the trailer and early access controversies?) Already do this?
Either way, the reception will be interesting, to say the least.
To be honest, it's been going downhill since Battlefield 3. Yes, I have stated my opinion, I can argue why:
Battlefield 3:
-Removed any freedom from Singleplayer.
-Added "packs", which were multiplayer only content and only helped with weapon unlocks.
Battlefield 4:
-Well, I can't really say except the campaign becoming more Hollywood-esque.
-More multiplayer "packs", essentially turning it to the norm.
+Levelution, though.
Battlefield 1:
-Had a short Singleplayer, resulting in almost primarily relying on online interactivity.
Battlefield 5:
-/+ Added a Battle Royale mode.
-Authenticity severely reduced.
-Battlefield 2042:
-Battle Pass.
-Operators/Hero shooter.
-Agenda pushing (Battlefield 5 has a little, but this is where it kicks off).
-Lack of polish in a lot of areas.
-Complete removal of a Singleplayer.
April 17 Will Be the End of an Era for EA
Honestly, I think we should all go back to the days of GameSpy and have online platforms as an optional plugin and install from the disc.
April 17 Will Be the End of an Era for EA
Just a note: This doesn't ONLY affect 32-bit systems, but also any system that runs anything older than Windows 10.
I have tried to use the EA App on Windows 7, 64-bit, of course, but more often than not, it crashes or requires an online connection to use at all.
For those of you who only play Singleplayer on Origin, use the Firewall to prevent Origin from connecting to the internet.
Good luck out there, everyone!
