Solo Leveling sets out on what it intends to do perfectly. Focus on 1 character and make it every power fantasy lovers wet dream. It is broken on purpose.

Idk why so many people are complaining about it lack of character depth or the shallowness of the story. Not the intention. Just enjoy the ride, and keep your hand and feet inside at all times.

I wouldn't call Stellar Swordmaster the King of Manhwa, but I am definitely loving the manhwa and impatiently waiting the next season.

Solo Leveling still has the numbers on their side, and put manhwa on the map. It will be incredibly difficult to dethrone SL from its seat. Even series like Omniscient Readers Viewpoint and Legend of the Northern Blade haven't been able to topple it.

But keep comparing everything to SL, keep the series alive in everyone's minds.

Za Yes it is. Everything now is falling under the final arc. For the manga that means another 3 years or so.

Considering that One Piece is in its final arc, which in Oda time is 5 years give or take; and in Kingdom, Qin has only beaten 1 of the Warring States. I can see Kingdom surpassing One Piece in total volumes and in volume sales.

Didn't you already write the same article about another episode and a different show dethroning that? How many thrones does Solo Leveling have?

I disagree with your last premise. Just because something is popular, doesn't mean it needs to keep going.

Some stories that ended deserve to continue, and some stories that continue should have ended. - Took that from Tolkein.

I feel like this is indicative of our current culture where we scream for more because it is popular, and all it results in is watered down slop being produced. The biggest culprit of this has been video games and movies, and we should be wary of it seeping into more mediums.

Personally, I found JJK boring and uninteresting. Not a massive anime person, but an avid manga reader. So if I can't even bother to get into the managa, the anime doesn't hit my radar.

So I can't really say whether season 3 of a series that I found to be uninspired will beat out a series that has a solid story with a theme / lesson behind it with great characters?

Dethroned my but. Solo Leveling is popular, but the Straw Hat Pirate Flag is being used in a potential revolution. One Piece is by far superior in terms of quality and in terms of reach. Dethroning One Piece will be a monumental task that no currently running anime is set to accomplish.

Why do you compare everything to Solo Leveling? Of course SL isn't iconic, it is brand new to anime. Icons of anime are shows like One Piece, Doraemon, Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, Sailor Moon, Case Closed, Bleach and Pokémon.

You are just trying to hate on SL because you think it is cool.
