People just leave when they not like the season and activities and get back when they do while the game just calibrates guns each twid. D2 is dead long ago. Story is dead. Episode Revenant won't save it. Echo mystery won't save it. Dreadnought won't save it. Maybe just for a season. D2 is not fun to play. It's a job you pay to work= not fun not interesting.

Even playing D1 today seems like playin D3 because of story approach missions.

If sci-fi game could only balance and rebalance guns, maps or add same content without new sci-fi ideas, plot it's just another roguelike fps not as they say action mmo. That's why D2 is dead in it's current state but each ingame event for freetoplay gamers or new season will stimulate it's player count. It's so old and not fun. They not finished the game with final shape they just admitted they couldn't do sci-fi anymore only fps with terrible netcode and cheaters.
