See All‘Not Everybody Has 88 Hours to Play Red Dead Redemption 2’ Shawn Layden Discusses Game Development Cycles and What Players Need
I've invested a couple or so hundred hours into RDR2 but I've yet finish the game. It isn't the length of the main story but all the other shit that distracts me. Then I get bored and start something else. By the time I'm ready to go back to RDR2. It's been long enough i need to restart the damn game.
I always intend to ignore the other stuff but so far I've failed to follow through.
GoW Ragnarock is another that lures me into the same trap. I don't care if a game takes me weeks or even months to finish. As i don't have much time to play five to six hours a week at most. I just wish that they'd not put so much filler in games. I've put five or six hundred hours in Days Gone, mostly during covid but that game was done perfectly. As far as other than main story goes. The filler and side quests only unlocked as the story progressed. Which keeps the main story moving and doesn't distract so easily.
