See AllJurassic World Rebirth Definitely Won't Feature One Popular Character From The Franchise
While dinosaurs roamed the Earth during the Jurassic period, many dinosaurs featured in the series existed in other periods. Dinosaurs also existed during the Triassic period. Additionally, there were a wide variety of plants and animals that existed alongside dinosaurs. Dr. Satler points out in the first movie how Hammond chose specific flora for their beauty, while ignoring that the flora is also particularly dangerous/poisonous. I think in Rebirth, a dinosaur preserve located on the mainland is entirely plausible. This preserve could host a wide variety of prehistoric species that have been brought back. However, retrieving specific dinosaurs in order to synthesize a "wonder drug" seems cliché IMO. There's an obvious inherent danger to recreating dinosaurs, but the dangers flora present, while very real, aren't as obvious.
