I disagree with Tidus being a time mage. All of the time-related spells and abilities were available to everyone. Their overdrives are what gave an indication of what their class would likely be.

I disagree with Gau being on the list. If time was spent unlocking his skills from enemies then you could make him very strong. A couple of his moves have carried me through the game on several playthroughs.

I also tend to ignore rankings that go solely by overdrives/limitbreaks. These don’t happen often enough to matter compared to how the characters play for the rest of the fights.

Keep in mind that the characters split up often during the story so you may not always have the choice for one specific character to be healer. The difference in healing capability is also fairly minimal as I did just fine with having at least one character with the ability to heal.

Another thing that I should mention is that you can easily complete this game on normal and hard without a dedicated healer.

Games don’t update in rest mode so I saw no benefit to using it for that reason. I’ve also had issues with rest mode in the past although I can no longer remember what they were.

Allowing players to pay to change upgrades to their weapons/gear, instead of relying on RNG drops with the configuration that they want, could help give a use for money.

Unfortunately no single change will resolve the issue when there are players who have literally spent 1K+ hours playing the game in a single universe.

I’m hoping to see content for all types of players that is actively maintained throughout the life of the MMO. So much of the new content was just living story while other areas were “abandoned”.

I’m also hoping they don’t continue with the current model of a micro expansion at nearly an expansion’s price. I feel that I get significantly less value now than I did from previous expansions.

Another thing that I hope that they go back to is releasing the full expansion’s story upon release. The whole FFXI approach of releasing part of it and then the rest across multiple releases in the future is annoying.
