theyre not public rivals in the same sense as, say, Mario (Nintendo) and Sonic (SEGA) are. Pokémon and Digimon are more of an unofficial rivalry solely for the fact that, when it released about 4 years after Pokémon, Digimon was seen as a "rip-off" of Nintendo's game. If someone liked Digimon, back in the day, they used to be made fun for enjoying the "inferior" rip-off of Pokémon. Problem is this assumption was grossly misunderstood and it ruined the hook and climb for Digimon in the west. Besides the fact monsters and some training is/are involved, Digimon is NOTHING like Pokémon!

to be perfectly fair, the only reason why Pokémon Legends: ZA is higher is because Pokémon, and Nintendo, as a whole is more popular overall. Pokémon has always been "better"/"beaten out" Digimon since both their conception because Digimon doesnt pump out as much media as Pokémon does nor is it as popular in the west compared to the juggernaut IP that is Pokémon. I blame the fact that, off the rip, Digimon was seen as the "Pokémon rip-off" and ppl didnt really give it the time of day despite that being further from the truth. Like if we were to compare PalWorld and Digimon to Pokémon in terms of being a rip-off, PalWorld is way closer to being a rip-off than Digimon has been for the past 2 decades.

As a fan of both Pokémon and Digimon, imho, Digimon is more interesting and creative, but i'm forced to consume more Pokémon products because thats what is more readily available. It's a pity too because Digimon has so many interesting characters, monsters and stories that, both anime and video game-wise, are more dynamic than what we see in Pokémon. Hell, a couple years ago, Digimon gave us a borderline survival horror in the form of Digimon Survive; Nintendo/GameFreak would never w/ Pokémon!

iiiiii dunno if i'd called Barbarnacle a favorite child... I rarely, if ever, hear that 'mon be brought up; it's a pretty niche pokémon as far as i'm aware. Maybe the competitive scene? Idk, i'm a casual player and out of the loop on that front lol! I personally think Barbarnacle's evolution line is ugly, but thats just me

the inhibitor rings are meant to contain Shadow's full power AND help him control it better. When the inhibitor rings are off, he unleashes all his contained Chaos energy at once and hes stronger and faster than ever before. We rarely see him without his inhibitor rings for a reason: this rampant Chaos energy hurts him and, after unleashing all this power, it's very exhausting for him, which leaves him vulnerable until he recovers. It's why we only see him remove them during pivotal moments and only, at least in the games, he has back-up (Sonic in SA2 against Biolizard/to stop the Eclipse Cannon, and Rouge and Omega in Sonic '06 to break through Mephiles' blockade and escape). Shadow is canonically way stronger than Sonic, it's just he has to keep some of that power contained as it's very destructive and borderline lethal for him to use if he isnt careful

Tales of the Abyss for sure! And, since they did Tales of Symphonia, they should do Symphonia's sequel as well. Honestly though, all of the ones pre-Vesperia should all be remastered at some point and everything post-Vesperia should be ported to the Switch like Tales of Vesperia was. I really want my top Tales games (Abyss, Berseria and Arise) to all be on Switch so i can take them anywhere

as someone who likes to watch paranormal investigation shows, we need to complete the "haunted trifecta" as i call it: we have a prison and an asylum, we need a hospital or old sanatorium. A battlefield, old theatre/opera house, abandoned mines, and/or old mansion/castle would be cool too

-- If you have not watched Sonic 3 yet, don't read ahead due to spoilers!! --

First of all, did you even WATCH the movie, or did you just have someone spoil it for you? If you did watch it, you clearly weren't paying attention at all to the subplot w/ Eggman and his grandfather. When Eggman met Gerald, and they were doing their scheming to steal the 2nd key for the Eclipse Cannon from G.U.N HQ, not once did Gerald EVER say he was going to use his creation to "save the world". Gerald straight-up TOLD Eggman that he was going to use the Eclipse Cannon to destroy the G.U.N HQ, and Eggman was all for it since G.U.N was a thorn in both their sides. Eggman was under the impression he and Gerald were going to bond as family and rule the world together; he even says this aloud to Gerald after he became aware of his grandfather's true plans that was what he believed, but then Gerald rejected him and stated his only family was his granddaughter and she's gone thanks to G.U.N, so he doesn't care about Earth anymore since she's no longer here.

Secondly, as for Director Rockwell, I don't think she's meant to be an antagonist perse, more an obstacle for Team Sonic. I do agree she was underutilized nor was her intent entirely clear, but, based on what I've seen, she's not, nor was she meant to be, an antagonist. She calls Team Sonic to their faces that they're aliens, and it's clear she doesn't necessarily trust our little friends, so I believe she was just meant to be a red herring/obstacle. The main antagonists were Shadow and Gerald w/ Eggman as a secondary antagonist (unlike in the first two movies where Eggman was the obvious main antagonist, and in Sonic 2 Knuckles was the secondary antagonist).

Lastly, Eggman is certainly not gone forever and will show up in a future movie. If you played any of the Sonic games, and/or read the comics, Eggman has been the main antagonist a majority of the time. He is Sonic's ARCH-NEMESIS, he's not going anywhere
