They don't make all the other characters invisible. Anyone who has actually played the game knows his performance is okay and his character kinda sucks. (Among other reasons.)

Nobody's praising anyone else because they haven't played the game, and the marketing is all Gustave Gustave Gustave. And the unearned praise often calls him the "main character" when that's obviously Maille VERY early on.... IF they played it. Which they haven't.

It's not for consumers. It's for scalpers. Square Enix has made them a primary market recently. This is actually what scalpers want, and NOT what actual consumers want. They know their audience for this kind of thing.
