See AllI Wasn't a Fan at First, but PvP Is Vital to Arc Raiders
PvP is cool.
PvP without consequences where killing and looting players is meta? Incentivizes Kill on Sight behavior.
I can say this because I played for 5 hours Saturday and never extracted. I was killed by Players at least 20 times in a row. And I never shot first, was using Prox chat, "don't shoot" all that jazz.
I don't know how big the Tarkov/DayZ "This is an extraction shooter and we kill everyone" group really is. But they are loud on social media....
And If I can get to the end of a day of grinding on Arc Raiders, and my inventory is empty, and all I did was die and lose supplies all day? Yeah, very bad luck. But there is a PvP problem in parts of Arc Raiders.
Let me at least craft booby traps for people that want to loot my backpack. And have players that kill and loot to much lose access to elevators and are stuck with Raider Hatches.
PvP without any potential consequences is incentivizing players kills. Grab a free loadout, do kill on sight, opportunity kills, extract camping, or play Among Us. Level up by player looting and never bother with PvE, crafting, scavenging, exploring. Its an Meta option that many players are already bragging about.
