I don't really think there is anything the stores could have done with millions of people effectively DDoSing them at once. Me and my brother both were able to secure one, him through Walmart I through target, just by being patient and constantly checking all 3 sites at once. Honestly they fixed the lag fairly quickly, so I am definitely not going to blame them.
