You say it's been "in development for six years" but six years ago was the reveal trailer with a not insubstantial amount of footage in it, so surely it's been at least seven years.

2025 is gonna have some big hitters bringing the heat in the narrative/performance way -- GTA 6, Ghost of Yōtei, Death Stranding 2, that French game Ben Starr's in, more I'm not remembering offhand, I'm sure. But I agree. Shenanigans of the highest order if Troy isn't at least nominated, and someone's gonna have to really impress for him not to be the frontrunner.

This isn't a new rule. The Witcher 3's DLC won Best RPG in 2016, and Cyberpunk 2077's DLC was nominated for Best Narrative last year. The Resident Evil remakes have (deservedly) been in GOTY contention over the years, too.

1000% the character is gonna be male on the show. A billion dollar studio like Amazon would never do this, but I'd love it if the series had both a male and female actor for the role, just like the games. Change between scenes, and just keep going like nothing strange is even happening. I think that would be amazing.

Of course Rebirth was gonna sell less quickly than Remake. It was exclusive to a system *far* fewer people owned (and had only been available on-demand for, what, maybe 2 years tops?). There's also a small but nonzero number of people who would have tried Remake and found out it wasn't to their liking, and therefore foreswore (hey that rhymes) part 2 entirely. It's also just not as exciting a release. Don't get me wrong, it was still exciting -- just not *as* exciting.

Where the hell is Infamous 2 on this list? "I love you brother. And I'm sure gonna miss you." Hell, they even made poetry out of the player inputs -- the literal last thing you do in the hero ending is "let go."
