The Sims 4's Surprise April Update Could Have an Obvious Culprit
Did you really just write an article about an update that happened 3 weeks ago?! I thought there would be mention of new content or something, and when there wasn't, had to scroll back up to see this was posted 16 hrs ago. Was it a slow gaming news day or are you that far behind?
Not to mention that every word about the comparisons between Inzoi and the Sims was covered by apparently everyone else weeks ago. So even that's behind.
As for what's happened since GR is apparently at the beginning of April instead of near the end - Inzoi has dropped off a lot due to lack of gameplay. That is honestly because it's so new and still early access, which is to be expected. But people got bored quick, as it needs a lot more to do. You can't even do a rags to riches, as the game just gives you money if you get too low.
People hate the AI integration.
The hyperrealism is not a good thing - it will look dated so easily. Whatever you can say about the sims, the cartoony look keeps it from looking too out of date.
And then Inzoi has come under fire for it's lack of relationship diversity and lack of gameplay for any zoi relationship that isn't straight and geared to having a traditional family.
There's been a million games that have been purported to overthrow the sims dominance over life-sims. Most can't even be remembered. Idk whether inzoi will pass the test of time. But it's got a long way to go.
