ugh medieval medieval medieval....how about some open worlds in the Mayan or Aztek period? The 30 years war? The Great Game in Victorian central asia...that period and area are rife for this sort of thing.
Can't believe you left off Rimworld! DF is great but Rimworld takes it to a whole nother level. And even more if u consider the thousands of mods, the three excellent DLC, and the player community!
