Also I would reccomend Shikkakumon no Saikyou Kenja (better read manga though).
AT fight glance, the series itself is about a group of teens killing monsters (and demons, too, though demons resemble humans a lot) from left to right and gain money, fame and level up.
Until you notice that one of team members is... A literal dragon (and it is literally the best part in series).
A dragon (or, more accurately, a dragoness) has to take a form of a teen girl in order to avoid issues with people since she is the only non-human on a humanity's side.
However, not only her dragon form gives some Pokemon and Monster Hunter vibes - it alos brings tons of humour, making a heroine being both aplicable to people who love dragons like Deathwing or Acnologia and to people who like ones like Toothless or Mushu.
7 Best Anime Featuring Dragons, Ranked
I agree with MKDM, Tsukimichi and FT only.
Dragon Crisis: one dragon only shows that he is a dragon. He looks cool and all, but as we say, "A single man is not a field warrior".
Dragon Pilot: an idea itself is cool, hut dragons' designs suck.
Ragna Crimson: shall I remind that it is series about dragonslayers? It is same with Kimetsu no Yaiba, but with dragons instead of demons and taking place in a different world.
Gate: no idea what is so cool in an anime series where dragons sre being constantly humilated. Cool dragon designs do not count.
Instead, I would reccomend these anime series with dragons.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Dragons may not be the most important part of this franchise, but names like "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" or "Slifer the Sky Dragon" might cause a happy heart trembling of various people who have ever heard of it.
Various of cool designs, tons of merchandise and just hours of majesty & might of brutal winged scaly beasts.
Pokemon. A franchise, where you can get along dozens of dragons, starting from an adorable child Gible and ending with an OP God of Space, Palkia.
Anime series and merchandising also provides us with a lot of dragon material.
Seikoku no Dragonar. The entire series are about dragon riders, and a main character happens to get a dragon taking a form of a human for some reason - to fell in love with her.
A female leading character's true form is an absolute shock - in a good way.
7 Manga Where The Main Characters Are Dragons
MKDM is the only good one.
And why did you include series where a dragon did stop being a dragon?!
