Completely agree and nothing like Ubisoft. This was by far the best designed open world to date when it came out and was revolutionary in a few ways. In general the ranking is odd (TotK 3rd and BotW 7th with the former being pretty much a copy of the first with a couple of craft/fuse mechanics thrown in) each to their own but the statement "l've played this type of open-world before" is utter rubbish and literally stopped me in my tracks when reading the article. This isn't the first time I've read something that sounds utterly lacking in videogame knowledge on Gamerant and I only read the article out of curiosity as a Zelda fan.
