See AllFallout Season 2 Has One Controversy Just Waiting to Happen
I’m fairly sure that the vast majority of people who played New Vegas aren’t going to feel, whatever path the show takes, that it detracts from their own choices and enjoyment of New Vegas. These aren’t children you’re talking about. Most will be adults, and even for those who’ve only played the masterpiece that is New Vegas recently, I think they understand that a narrative television series is significantly different from a video game RPG whose outcome depends upon so many choices they made throughout the game.
For the Fallout series to work, they have to pick a single storyline. TV isn’t a choose your own adventure novel. I think even tiny kids understand this. Your article assumes that these imaginary “butthurt players” have wills of glass. Or some kind of deficient capacity to differentiate between vastly different types of fiction.
It feels like you may be projecting a bit. You might be butthurt, but I doubt that any more than a handful of New Vegas veterans, who’ve likely played dozens or even hundreds of other games, will let the show’s narrative choices impact their experiences - for most of whom were 15 years ago or so.
The show may take a fifth route: the events of New Vegas will occur in Season 2. Regardless I don’t think you’re giving wasteland hardened, Fallout New Vegas Veterans enough credit by half. So many of these kinds of articles feel like you gaming writers are losing your creativity when it comes to topics for articles.
I know you can do so much better. And you know it too. Just enjoy the show. That’s what most Fallout fans and newcomers alike are going to do. This article is one of the most 🤦🏻♂ I’ve seen in awhile. I mean, haha. Come on dude!
