Every Star Wars Movie, Ranked From Worst to Best
This article is extremely unfair to The Last Jedi because it wasn’t Rian Johnson’s writing that subverted Luke Skywalker’s image - it was JJ Abrams in Episode 7 The Force Awakens.
It was JJAbrams’ Ep. 7 script that hid Luke in the most unfindable planet in the galaxy (and they spent the whole movie trying to fill the last piece of the map before Rey can go find him)
so it would be much more illogical for Rian Johnson to make a movie showing how Luke hid himself in the corner of the galaxy where no one could find him, only then to completely flip flop upon Rey’s arrival and revert to being one so eager to fight The First Order.
Rian Johnson made lemonade out of it. Blame JJAbrams for supplying him with crates full of lemons.
