Unfortunately, AI is destructive for job markets for an entirely different reason. It's no secret that companies are trying to outright replace humans in the workforce with AI (depending on the industry) to maximize profits by eliminating the human aspect. With game development, not only have the efforts already began, they also backfired horrifically.
The companies making the switch to AI ultimately found that they've lost profits overall due to the need to rehire workers they terminated to restabilize workflow, after the AI algorithm ultimately broke the codebase significantly, leading to delays and loss of money.
In short, AI has no place in game development, as it is more destructive to the development process than it's worth.
