i feel like it works, but what i could see happening is the class system but you can pick the pairings, using doom eternal as an example, pairing the ballista and ssg, or combat shotgun and chaingun. I havent had the oppourtunity to play dom the dark ages, due to restrictions, but from what ive seen, it looks fun.
