Pretty decent month for Amazon Prime users!!! Most of those RPGs are top tier 90s goodness!!!! Fallout especially influential to gaming as AD & D amd Deus Ex also!!!!!

Makes this month so worth having a sub!

This biggest bummer of this is that NSO doesn't have touch support for the touch screen.... Thus mario paint is only gonna be good on Switch 2 (mouse support) and on the Switch 1 all input it gonna come from stick and pad.

For all these reasons.... Probably gonna be giving Valve the same $500 I would have otherwise spent on a Switch 2 to Nintendo.... And wait to see if there is a backpedal on these unlawful stunts the big red N is doing by being Nintendont

There are a few things with this whole mess I just cannot agree with in any capacity.

1. Children cannot sign legally binding contracts to any capacity with legal ramifications. This includes ToS [Terms of Service Agreements]

2. Many folks to whom got their consoles bricked were folks that bought physical games and chooses to leave them at home and consolidate their games to a MicroSD card instead of carrying around $800 worth of games (Realize that's only 10-12 retail priced games)

3. The Switch [and Switch 2 I assume as well] creates 2 things when you insert a game card your system.... A check of the game key [like the CD keys of yesteryear] and a ownership key [matched to your consoles Serial Number] & it also does a firmware check for version information and a database check to see if there are updates to the game in question [ Day 1 patches etc...] Thus it proves you infact OWN the game you inserted. It does this for digital purchases as well, and if you have 2 consoles you have to hand play rights over to that specific console based on the aforementioned information above.

They know you own the games and still deliberately black list your console knowing all the information checks out... But because the game loaded from a 2md MicroSD card instead of from the game card ( which is a dumb storage device equivalent to a hopped up SD card, that actually works at a slower data transfer rate). Because there are no special 'additional function chips' in any of the Switch or Switch 2 cards..... For example how the FX chip was used in SNES/SFC games in the 90s.

Which brings me to my last point.... Nintendo could allowingly use the Switch 1 cards for Switch 2 games.... As proven with Runescape's latest DUEL system release on a single card.... And the same PHYSICAL backwards compatibility that allows Switch 1 game cards to be played on Switch 2 consoles.....

As long as they keep giving them away, I'll keep adding them to my library. Doesn't mean I have to download them or play them. But there are quite a few I can't wait to get my dual booting steamdeck to play!!!!

I want to really think and hope Nintendo is gonna give us the other 2 MP games.... With the copyright update it makes me think they are gonna remaster MP:Hunters also.... But knowing Nintendo the way they work.... We'll probably get MP 2 & 3 as NSO GC games (so we have to keep paying for NSO to get play/them..... And they'll sell up a remaster of Hunters without the 2nd screen stuff of the DS/DSi

At this point I'm happy Nintendo is even doing anything with Metroid!!!!

Personally.... It makes me think that maybe they are going to regive us the Prime storyline in order before 4 gets released..... Wouldn't that be the ultimate celebration of the series!!!?

I know it would make up ( at least to me) the years of dormancy and sheer ignoring of Metroid outside of Samus being used in other Nintendo ads and IPs

I'm more inclined we are going to get the trailer for remake 2 and 3 of Prime with the respective releases coinciding with the directs long before we see another dedicated direct for Prime 4.

I see Nintendo more likely releasing in Holday season for Prime 4 as they really haven't show off many 1st party titles for the Switch² yet.... So far we only know of 2 (Mario Kart (x) & Metroid Prime 4 ), maybe 4 titles if you count the duel release Pokémon games slated for Switch².

In any case... With as much as leaked on the Switch²..... Nintendo is keeping their employees on a short leash and gag order from what I can assume since the info hasn't really been teased outside the details we already got confirmed!

GameCube controllers were compatible with the Wii

Wii chucks were compatible with WiiU

And switch has nearly EVERY previous systems controller adapted to it OFFICIALLY by both Nintendo and PowerA.... Not to mention all the 8bit-Do controllers and competitors as well.

So..... What makes you all think that all of a sudden we are gonna be tossing our joycons in a dust bin somewhere next to the switch pro controller?

Ok, maybe the labo stuff won't adapt.... But as long as the OG joycons are compatible, pretty sure all the other joy con centric games will be as well.... We only got the disclaimer because on a consumer level we haven't been able to teat ALL the games with the new hardware yet.... Or even the old hardware with the new!

Still curious if the dock will work to charge the old switch 1, for those that are still keeping them for other freimds/family for multi-player games.

Also..... I still say that Nintendo should make a switch console centric system that can enable the switch to be the 2nd screen like the wii U.

It was a great gimmick that only failed on marketing behalf! The execution may have been iffy on some games, but it is pretty awesome to glance down at the map, or scroll through the playback for a sports game.

Dunno if it matters to anyone.... But up until about 10 minutes ago I couldn't get the transaction to finalize... Might be my rual cellphone connection or it could have been their servers.

But game on, it works now

October of 2026 would be 22 months from the time of writing this.... And depending on if casting and art are pretty much near, and costumes are being worked on already and scenic.... There is completely enough time to get it shot, edited and sent to VFX to finish off while all the marketing is being constructed, and contracted as hype builds.

As it is, we barely get notice between when some fils are finished and when they are out... Which these days is all digital.... So they don't even have film reels to make.

Oh and the streaming

I seriously think that MP4 is going to be a launch title for the Switch ².

I believe we will get MP2 on a shadow drop with the next Nintendo Direct... And maybe a better 1st look of game play for MP4.

I also see Nintendo drawing out the distance of release between MP2 and MP3.... Releasing the 3rd one about 2 months before the new Switch drops.

I also seem to think that Nintendo is gonna give us an OLED Switch lite as well upon release of the new switch!

Sure there's 100 games on there and quite a few of them are historic games of yor.

It would be nice to see the console lines open up a bit more though. I know it would be a near impossible feat to end up with all those systems full catalogs being available on NSO, but it would be nice to see closer to 40-60% of the respective catalogs available, if even by means of a subscription model.

With net code it's been great so far to just jump in to a game and find someone to match up with on some 2 player action or more depending on the retro game.... And play like it's 1992 again from around the world with other folks.

My 1990's teenage self would be flabbergasted to know this then, what I do now. (Playing fzero on a snes controller across the globe with someone in Tokyo) Let alone the concept of Fzero99!!!!
