Meat's VR headsets burn thru their batteries like raging infernos, so yes, you'd want to be able to connect them to a power source during the flight. The VR apps I would use also tend to pull a lot of data from the cloud (e.g. 360° images from Google Maps) so I hope the plane's WiFi is up to handling the load.
