Indeed.
Dauntless Is Being Review Bombed
This game is NOT Review Bombed. The Update is so bad that no one likes it and that after a so long waiting time where Dauntless evolved very, very slow.
I've been playing the game since the closed beta. There were only a few Behemots and only the hammer, axe and sword. The chainblades came next, then I think it was spear, fist and pistol.
Unfortunately I then had to watch as (apart from a few good ideas) the game became a pure cosmetics shop. New features came very slowly, were often immature, were soon discarded and replaced by new immature ones. Plus bugs, lags, etc...
Excuses upon excuses, postponed promises, promises never fulfilled, but I didn't want to give up on the game. Not even after several resets. I liked it and thought to myself: It doesn't matter, it'll be fine.
So when the reset was announced, I thought to myself: That sounds good at first (the ideas they had announced). I hate the reset, the developers have lost their minds, not another reset. But what the heck, maybe it'll be fun and that would be worth grinding a bit again (not too much, of course).
Then I saw the result: The new perk system? Terrible, the Slayer's animations horrible, so cheap. I have to play tutorial missions again? Unlock everything again? Never!
If it had been presented beautifully and interestingly, if it had captivated me from the first moment. Of course I would have been angry, complained in the forum, let off steam. BUT I would have given it a chance.
But what I saw. It was so cheap, so bad, the closed beta was much better back then and more interesting. Also tons of items in the shop. No longer just cosmetic items, people are getting greedy. The team has lost its original charm. These are no longer the people I supported.
It hurts, but I have to go and face the facts. Dauntless no longer has a soul. It's dead. Completely and irretrievably dead.
