See All8 Best JRPGs Of The 90s, Ranked
Sorry this list is all backwards and inside out...chrono trigger should be higher, localization was on point, still a gorgeous game 30 years later, allowed for multiple unique playthroughs, something that has yet to be duplicated...ff7 is something we all have rose colored glasses for but is kinda meh in a lot of way specifically localization and how well the graphics hold up...not saying it's a bad game, just not necessarily worthy of number 1. I seriously question some other games inclusion on the list...lunar is definitely in the conversation but as good as it is maybe not. Csotn...sorry that's a metroidvania....one of the best in that genre certainly but definitely not a jrpg. Pokémon red and blue, and I'm not sorry for this, just no... I think the only game I agree with on this list both in inclusion and placement is smrpg. Games forgotten xenogears, ff6(arguably outdoes 7 in depth of story, longevity of graphics, and mechanical ingenuity), suikoden 2, secret of mana(not the first of the action jrpg, but probably the best early example of how we understand that term today)
