Sonic Mania
Overall, a fun game to play that acts more like a true Sonic 4 game than the actual Sonic 4: Episode I and II games that came out before Mania. The levels and graphical design are fun and vibrant, and I enjoyed the 90s Sega Genesis vibe that the game was trying to hit. I feel the designers did a great job making the game feel like a sequel to the original trilogy and not just a random game that was pumped out for Sonic. A great game to play for any Sonic fan, old and new!
Sonic Superstars
Overall, this is a fun game to play. The art style and design choices are nice, and the tone of the game is great. The main story is very short, and you can get through the main story fairly quickly. Trip's story does help with lengthening the game and does add some more content through Trip's eyes. However, Trip's story can be very challenging at times, especially the final boss fight for Trip. The reason for the average score is because the "True Final Boss" fight is insanely hard. Sonic is known to have some challenging bosses, but they are generally fair and consistent to memorize their patterns. However, the "True Final Boss" can get infuriating to fight against and often times it feels like the AI allies in the fight are there to cause more problems and makes the fight even harder rather than helping. The allies that help during the fight is random and sometimes you will get help that does help the fight, but there are times where they are more of a hindrance. This is still a fun game to play as a whole, it's mainly the final boss in Trip's story and the "True Final Boss" that can make some people get frustrated enough wanting to quit the game and not want to 100% complete the game.
Sonic Origins Plus
Classic Sonic games with added extra games. This collection has a good number of games, as long as you have the Plus version. I also like that you can play in either classic mode (set number of lives) and anniversary mode (unlimited lives). I like the option to do either, especially if you want more of a challenge and play through classic mode. The extra games are fun, but keep in mind that they are Game Gear titles (outside 1,2,3 and CD). But it's still a great collection to play through with friends or solo. There is also extra content and added material such as new cutscenes and animations to enhance the storylines of the games. A great collection of games, especially if you can snag it for even less than the $40 asking price. ($40 is still worth it, but anything less makes it even better!)
Vampire Survivors
Simple gameplay, simple mechanics, and simple graphics. But a TON of fun! This may look like a game with not much to do, but there is a ton of content in this game. Also, you can get the base game and all the DLC's for about $20 (and even cheaper when there are sales). With the DLC, there is so much content to extend hours of gameplay. Only downside I found with this game is that it can get repetitive, but the different characters and weapons in the game help make it feel less repetitive. Overall, a very solid game that you can spend many hours with.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
One of the best Sonic Racing games out there. Not only is it one of Sonic's best racing games, but it is deserving of being on a list of top best kart racers of all time. The gameplay is fun, and the maps are nice. There is a ton of unlockable content in this game, and you can easily spend hundreds of hours just trying to unlock everything. The online portion can easily add many more hours on top of that. This game could be a solid 10/10, however, unlocking everything can be way too long. Donpa tickets is the in-game currency you use to unlock items in the game. But the amount of Donpa tickets you earn in the game is tedious and long. You need hundreds of thousands of tickets to unlock everything and to max out friendship levels for all 23 main characters. The game is stingy on how many Donpa tickets you earn per race, trial, and grand prix. It will take many, many hours to 100% the game if you want to unlock all core items in the game. If they can get a better balance on earning tickets, this would help this game a lot. I understand the developers want people to spend tons of hours in the game, but the number of tickets you need to earn, and how slowly you get them, can possibly deter some current players wanting to play the game beyond the important unlocks. Overall, that is the only real complaint, and the rest of the game is great, fun to play, and can be addictive.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection
This is one of the best collections of a series of all time, if not the best of all time. You get six full games, all that are either remastered or in HD. Not only do you get the full campaigns, but you also get a ton of content for multiplayer from nearly all of the games in some form. There are tons of different game modes in multiplayer and a vast array of weapons and maps to play. Also, you get all of the Bungie Halo's in one collection. Halo 4 is included, which, is still a decent entry to be honest. It is still not as epic as the Bungie entries, but Halo 4 was still a solid entry for 343. Overall, this collection houses some of the best games of all time with solid campaigns, and a great multiplayer that still has a decent player base even after being out for nearly a decade.
Halo 5: Guardians
Halo 5: Guardians, overall, is still a solid entry for Halo. The shining star of this game is the multiplayer. It truly is one of the best Halo multiplayers to have been released. The different modes, vast variety of weapons, solid maps, and the mechanics are some of the bests in the series. Just like many reviewers, however, the campaign is lacking. The story is vastly different, and it just does not have the Halo vibe. I understand what 343 was trying to do with having two separate views between Spartan Locke and the Master Chief, I believe they were trying to recreate Halo 2 in where you played both the Arbiter and Master Chief. However, the story is just very convoluted and muddled in Halo 5: Guardians. Also, the balance between Locke and Master Chief was off, I feel in this game Master Chief was second fiddle and Locke was trying to be the main star. The story is not terrible, but it is not great. But the multiplayer does help make up for the campaign because there is hundreds of hours' worth of content for the online side to make up for the mid campaign.
Halo Infinite
This game gets too much hate. I understand why, especially when it first released. However, fast forward to 2025, it is in a much better state. The multi-player improved so much over the years. However, the reason I am giving a 9 (which is pretty high) is because the campaign, even upon release, is very good. It feels more like Halo again. Halo 4 and 5 sort of had their own vibe. Halo Infinite goes back to how Halo is supposed to feel. I base games more on their campaign and story. I think if Halo Infinite released in the state it is now back when it originally released, I think it would have received less hate and more praise. Again, I understand the hate when it was first released, I was questioning the game as well, especially the multi-player. The campaign, though, changed my look of the game and the last two years of updates for it's online portion did improve the game a ton. But I think it was too late and many people were scorned from the original release pre updates and just never liked it since. I understand games should come out complete upon launch, but we are also, sadly, in an era where games come out light in content but improve over time. But with Halo having issues with 4 and 5, I think the first state of Infinite turned people off. But, I am giving a 9 based on the campaign, and how the online portion is now. It is a shame that the recent update is the last major update. I sill love this game nonetheless and have enjoyed pouring in almost 1000 hours into it. No regrets.

See AllNew Report Claims to Reveal Why Nintendo Switch 2’s Holiday Sales Were Lower Than Expected
I think the game lineup is there, it's the price in my opinion. The original Switch came out at $300, and games were still around $60, so you are $360 in for a console and game. The Switch 2 is $450, and many games are now $70. You could get the Switch 2 bundle at $500, but $360 sounds more enticing compared to $500. Plus, I agree, having the original alongside the Switch 2 is probably making money conscious people choose a cheaper option right now.

Metroid Prime 4: Why Samus vs. Master Chief Isn't Even Close
I think it's pretty equal based on these readings. However, there are two things that Master Chief does have over Samus. One may be trivial, but if you go off both the games and the books of Halo, as Cortona always said, John - 117 has luck on his side. This may sound trivial, but the "luck" factor could kick in with this fight and Master Chief may win. The other advantage is having an AI. I think if it was Master Chief vs Samus, but Chief did not have Cortona, I would admit, he would definitely lose. However, if he has Cortona, I think he may actually win with Cortona and luck on his side.
The Game Awards 2025 Official Winner List: GOTY to Best Indie and Everything In-Between
Kind of bummed that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds did not win either of its categories. Oh, well, it's still a really fun game to play regardless.
