There's no pillaging because Valheim isn't a Viking simulator. Your character has died, sent to a special place and must prove themselves worthy to be accepted into Valhalla through a series of tests (bosses).
While I agree it would be a fun addition, there are no humans in the game other than yourself and the occasional observant Odin.(if that counts)
