Veilguard was boring man. The design wasn't almost cartoonish, it was in some areas. I literally paused my game to screenshot the first ogre so I could send it to a friend to mock the fact that the characters were scared of something out of a bad child's Saturday morning cartoon.

I went into Veilguard ignoring anything about it, at least as much as I could so I could try and be unbiased, but it sucked. The combat was particularly egregious in my opinion. It felt like someone watched God of War, went, well that's too complicated, let's make it easier and then stuck that in. The skill trees were pretty boring as well, with most of the skills being overly flashy for not actually doing much.
