Both "ghost" games feel like art. Good story albeit a bit cliche, but they're cliche for a reason. Very satisfying gameplay overall. Exploration feels amazing. On the other hand, there's ac shadows... It's an AC game with an Asian setting and that's all. It's a good game, sure, but playing them back to back, AC doesn't even begin to compare. AC shadows tries to focus on too many things and it lacks substantial depth in almost every aspect. Finally, I really can't understand why they are still sticking to the whole rpg/leveling system, it spoils the entirety of all the new games since origins personally...
8 Best Games That Get Better As You Play
I'd say since RimWorld was included at least a mention to Dwarf Fortress would be made. I'm not a fan of the constant comparison since the games are fairly similar to a new player, but digging deeper we find major differences in the focus and the scope of the two games. I'm not going too deep in a comment, I just think it's worth a spot on the list.
To any fan of these games that got this far into my comment I'd 100% recommend checking out Songs of Syx and Clanfolk. The first is a colony/kingdom builder with a lot of depth and a ton of amazing ideas and the second, you could say, is RimWorld set in the Scottish Highlands with a ton of historically and culturally accurate stuff from the period.
