People on here are really spoiled when it comes to modern anime. Some series have taken 6 years to do a arc before and they weren't even movies lol. Or the final arc takes 5 years too a decade to complete. None of this is new it's more or less how it's been. The only difference is it's success and popularity in the west.

I thought the movie was solid overall and enjoyed it. Didn't have a problem with the back story's or how it was done. From what I understand it crossed 300 million. Once again showing that social media is not a reflection of fandoms or society as a whole.

I don't see the problem with any of these series for fantasy beginners. You may not like certain content in them but none of them are bad or "trashy". Nor would I say Isekai harem anime is a huge turn off either. They do rather well over all. Even if some of them aren't very good. Their are some that are solid series.

Their are plenty of series in anime or manga that do all of these things, some better. I do like this series but if all anime did this it would become boring and bland. To me there are better female leads in other series. And am not a fan of the male protagonist as much as other series.

Glad they shared that they are changing characters before movie comes out. Him being "flirtatious" was part of his character. Those "dated" traits are why people like Johnny. The movie is not for me and I would feel like a "doormat" supporting it.

Am so tired of the complaining about "fan-service" if you don't like certain types of fictional content then don't watch it. There is no need to attack what others enjoy in fiction. Other then to drag down certain series to promote the ones they like. No to mention JJK is full of fan service I guess Tojo or Gojo don't count lol. Just because they agree with the "fan-service" in JJK or it's a different type of "fan-service" doesn't mean it's not "fan-service".. The irony of complaining about "fan-service" while promoting HxH who has characters like Hisoka is beyond parody. This article sounds like it was written from some one who hasn't read or watched the source material. There are plenty of "battle shounen" without "fan-service" if your having a hard time finding them then that's on you. What your really saying is it's hard to find popular "battle shounen" without "fan-service". If "fan-service" distracts you then watch something different it's just not for you. Not everything is for everybody but there is something for everyone.
