Exclusives are good for the respective companies, because they give players a reason to gravitate toward their platform and create a sense of brand loyalty. But for the gamer, it kinda sucks because not everyone can afford multiple consoles. It's already a challenge transitioning to a new generation of the same console.
I've been a Sony guy my entire life, only having had a few Nintendos and a 360 outside of them. And I hate the fact I can't play LoZ or Fire Emblem. The reason that it's "just weird" to have say an LoZ on Playstation is not a good reason to not do it. And even the point that exclusives take full advantage of the console's features is not a good enough reason either. Let players make that decision.
