Robin  ok yeah I agree with you. I've read the manga, they haven't covered a lot of the story, while a decent amount of volumes of the apothecary diaries has been covered.

I agree it's overrated, but Freiren is not exactly a snorefest. Many animes like the apothecary diaries are slow-burn anime which have story progression. Everywhere I read an article about solo leveling, it rants about it being "only enjoyable by the low attention spanned people cause of its fast story progression and engaging fight scenes".
