I think the main problem with the soundtrack on the new Doom is how poorly it is mixed with the rest of the game. Not to mention how the soundtrack is just in the background, you barely notice it. Compared to the previous 2 entries the music was an integral part of the game and pumped you up while demon slaying and it all just complemented each so perfectly. In Doom the Dark Ages you can turn the music off and it makes no difference whatsoever on the game, unlike the previous games where it totally enhanced it.
