See AllSome Doom Fans Are Canceling Their Dark Ages Pre-Orders
No one cares about physical copies of games dude. It won't effect sales.
PC hasn't had them since 2004 and Steam copies of games have consistently sold more than Xbox and PS5 combined.
Get with the 21st century. Discs are an ancient technology at this point, and haven't been in PCs for almost 2 decades now.
Besides, your physical copy of basically any new Xbox or PS5 game is basically worthless without an internet connection and an account. The whole games preservation argument hasn't been valid for a long time.
Amazon Issues Warning About Xbox Controller
2 years or shortly after is typically the mark where they start to have issues. As someone who's owned 5 elite controllers, watch out lol.
Amazon Issues Warning About Xbox Controller
Those older controllers use hall effects sensors and simply higher quality components, before everything was made in China. GameCube controllers would physically wear down the stick coating before they mechanically fail... Had this happen to several hardcore friends in smash where the stick top was literally flat and smooth from so much abuse, but functionally everything still worked fine lol
Amazon Issues Warning About Xbox Controller
While I love my elite controllers (I have 3 active and have owned 5 different ones over the years), they are far from reliable. The common problem I've had on 3 of them so far, has been issues with either the left or right bumper eventually failing to consistently register inputs, eventually using the button becomes near useless only working 1 out of 5 physical presses.
I haven't had issues with stick drift on any of them, but the bumper button issue seems pretty common and typically kicks in around the year 2 Mark of heavy use (20+ hours a week average). Now, I pretty much always buy a square trade warranty as they will fix the controller no questions asked or replace it. I've never had stick drift issues on any of my 5 elites however.
Another under documented but common issue is Amazon themselves... On more than one occasion they have been caught selling refurbished and used Xbox elite controllers as new and at full price. This is despite the fact the site falsely lists they are sold and fulfilled by Amazon, when they are in fact not. Ran into this a year ago and the stealth 3rd party seller claimed that 'refurbished' was clearly listed in the item description when it was in fact not as it was the same page for the new controller I'd used multiple times over th years.
These days, I'd highly recommend buying Xbox controllers from Best buy instead, online or locally. Their prices are not only typically much lower, but they don't try passing on return controllers as new, and shipping times are typically on par with prime, except you don't need a $140/year membership to get them.
