Sad to say, I don't think these changes will help. These are largely cosmetic and the major problems with Marathon lie with its basic concepts. Its gameplay. Itd mechanics.

Esentially....its target audience isn't interested in an extraction shooter that is too easy, too dumbed down, offers little or nothing new of value and lacks many of the features and investment other games offer.

And the wider audience just aren't interested in a game which is too difficult even when dumbed down, where you lose everything every season, and where better, cheaper alternatives exist.

There will no doubt be some attracted by the Bungie name, but the Bungie name attracted those players to the playtest and it was the gameplay and game mechanics which drove them away. And I don't see Marathon being delayed for the two years it'd take to fix that
