Project Spectrum is a new psychological horror PvEvP game developed by Team Jade, where players fight against internal and external monsters. Team Jade is best known for Delta Force, a first-person tactical shooter.

Project Spectrum reveal

Delta Force was just released on consoles and now has crossplay, but that hasn't held back Team Jade from also getting started on its next IP. A trailer revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live blended some gameplay and cinematics from this new title, giving players a small piece of what's to come. While the squad-based tactical shooter gameplay may seem familiar, Project Spectrum will pit players against threats that extend beyond those they see directly in front of them.

Delta Force developer Team Jade releases the game's greatly anticipated Black Hawk Down campaign, inspired by the 2001 film.

Team Jade Announces Horror Shooter Project Spectrum

Project Spectrum is a tactical shooter that combines PvEvP gameplay, pitting players against other human players and horrific monsters. Groups of players team up and use various weapons such as assault rifles, shotguns, and Molotov cocktails to fight against other human players in traditional tactical FPS gun fights. While other human enemies can be found, all sorts of horrific and powerful monsters straight out of nightmares will also be faced. Players will also have to battle their own sanity against these nightmares; otherwise, they may become monsters themselves.

Based on what we see in the gameplay sections of the reveal trailer, players will have some freedom in the weapons they want to use when facing these various threats. It's shown that players will be going through the same locations, though things will constantly be changed up to keep the experience fresh. While only briefly shown, having the player play as a monster will be very different and switch players to a third-person view, as the creature they are controlling is much bigger than regular humans.

The first-person shooting in Project Spectrum seems very similar to that of Delta Force, something Team Jade knows and does well. The additional layers of having players become the monsters they are also trying to fight should give this game a unique flavor.
