PlayStation Plus members can download a bunch of free DLC for Sackboy: A Big Adventure, one of the free monthly games available now to subscribers. PS Plus members in all three tiers get access to around three titles every month, and members can continue playing these games for as long as they are subscribed.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure was a PS5 launch game, with Sony also releasing Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon's Souls as first-party titles. While both Miles Morales and Demon's Souls are part of the catalog available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, Sackboy: A Big Adventure was curiously missing from the library. Sony finally added Sackboy: A Big Adventure to PS Plus Essential this month, and members interested in playing the game can also download a bunch of DLC for free.
As reported by ComicBook, PlayStation Plus users can obtain a huge collection of DLC costumes for Sackboy: A Big Adventure for free, allowing them to play as iconic PlayStation characters like Nathan Drake, Kratos, Ellie, Aloy, and more. It even features free DLC costumes designed around relatively newer PlayStation characters like Rivet from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Selene from Returnal. Special costumes themed around festivals and holidays are also available for free, giving users a ton of options to choose from while playing Sackboy: A Big Adventure.
Sony launched Sackboy: A Big Adventure on PC in October 2022, but it looks like the game flopped on that platform, as it only managed a peak concurrent player count of 610 users. By comparison, God of War managed a peak player count of 73,529, with Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered sitting at 66,436. Regardless, PC gamers should note that they too can get all the DLC for Sackboy: A Big Adventure for free should they decide to purchase the main game.
In addition to Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Sony is giving away Meet Your Maker and Tails of Iron as the free monthly PS Plus games for April 2023, with Meet Your Maker being a day one release. Sony has added many of its first-party PS5 and PS4 games to PS Plus, with some only available to members in the Extra and Premium tiers. For example, PS Plus Extra members can play 2022’s Horizon Forbidden West at no extra cost, and it’ll be interesting to see if and when games like Gran Turismo 7 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart are added to the catalog.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
