Summary
- Six games are leaving PS Plus Extra on July 16.
- Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, Saints Row 4, and Dysmantle are among the games departing the service.
- New games will be added to PS Plus Extra in July too, so stay tuned for the upcoming announcement.
PlayStation Plus subscribers should keep in mind that at least six games are set to leave the Extra tier of the service on Tuesday, July 16. The Extra tier of PlayStation Plus features a rotating selection of PS4 and PS5 games for subscribers to check out. New games are added to PS Plus Extra on a monthly basis, but games are also removed from the service at the same rate.
The June 2024 PS Plus Extra update added 10 games for subscribers to play, but it also saw 11 games leave the service as well. Luckily, the July 2024 PS Plus Extra update shouldn't see nearly as many games get the boot. At the time of this writing, only six games are confirmed to be leaving PS Plus Extra on July 16.
Best Online Co-Op Games On PlayStation Plus Extra & Premium
From PvE FPS games to addictive beat 'em ups, PS Plus has some of the best online co-op games ever.
Based on what's currently in the PS Plus Last Chance to Play section, Extra subscribers will be losing access to Dysmantle, Fast & Furious: Spy Racers - Rise of the Shifter, Kingdom: Two Crowns, My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure, Saints Row 4: Re-Elected, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands on July 16. Out of these, the highest profile game is Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. A spin-off of the Borderlands franchise, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a fantasy-themed FPS that was originally released in 2022. Tiny Tina earned mostly positive reviews from critics, though its reception was generally more lukewarm when compared to Borderlands.
Games Leaving PS Plus Extra in July 2024
- Dysmantle
- Fast & Furious: Space Racers - Rise of the Shifters
- Kingdom: Two Crowns
- My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure
- Saints Row 4: Re-Elected
- Tiny Tina's Wonderlands
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands may be the most notable game getting removed from PS Plus Extra in July 2024, but there are a couple of others that subscribers will want to prioritize before they're removed. Saints Row 4: Re-Elected is an enhanced version of the original Saints Row 4, and while hardcore fans of the franchise may not have liked the over-the-top superhero content in the fourth entry, there's still a great deal of fun to be had with it. Dysmantle, meanwhile, is a great local co-op game about crafting and exploring a zombie-infested world.
These six games are the only games confirmed to be leaving PS Plus Extra in July 2024 so far, but there's always a chance more titles could end up on the chopping block. The last couple of months saw more games added to the PS Plus Last Chance to Play section in the days following the initial update, and so that could very well happen again.
Of course, new games will be added to PS Plus Extra in July 2024 as well, though it's anyone's guess as to which games are on the way. The new game additions are expected to come on July 16, so the announcement should come about a week before that day.
