Summary
- PS Plus Extra is losing Destroy All Humans 2 & 4 other games in August, leaving on August 20.
- Players have until August to complete these games, with Destroy All Humans 2 taking 11 hours.
- Subscribers can enjoy the Trials of Mana before its departure and prepare for Visions of Mana.
The Premium and Extra tiers of PlayStation Plus are set to lose Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed and four other titles in August 2024. PS Plus subscribers have a bit longer than a month to play through these newly announced departures, which likely isn't enough time to beat all of them.
Every third Tuesday of the month, Sony rotates its subscription service's game catalog. Aside from introducing new titles and removing some previously available ones, this move always sees the company update the PS Plus "Last chance to play" section, notifying users of the next wave of game departures. This month's rotation occurred on July 16, when half a dozen titles left PS Plus Extra and Premium.
Five more are set to follow in August 2024, when Sony's subscription service will lose Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed, NBA 2K24, Need For Speed Unbound, SpellForce 3 Reforced, and Trials of Mana. Based on the company's established content practices, this quintet will leave PS Plus Extra and Premium on August 20, presumably around 9am ET.

This month-long notice gives PS Plus subscribers enough time to play through at least some of the titles set to be removed in August. Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed is among the shortest single-player games from the newly announced wave of departures, with HowLongToBeat data suggesting a single run through its story mode takes roughly 11 hours. Meanwhile, non-completionist playthroughs of Need For Speed Unbound and Trials of Mana are estimated to take in the ballpark of 25 hours each, whereas SpellForce 3 Reforced offers a slightly longer campaign.
Anyone who fancies themselves a JRPG aficionado but hasn't yet played Trials of Mana would likely find it worthwhile to do so while the game is still freely accessible via PS Plus Extra and Premium. Experiencing the remake of the 1995 cult classic would also serve as apt preparation for Visions of Mana, the first new series entry in nearly 18 years, which Square Enix is scheduled to release on August 29.
In the meantime, the July 16 catalog rotation also saw PS Plus Extra introduce nine new games, including Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, Remnant 2, and Steep. Deadcraft and No More Heroes 3 are also part of the latest wave of arrivals, as are The Jackbox Party Pack 9 and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition. Sony is expected to announce next month's additions to PS Plus Extra and Premium on August 14.
