The Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus have been updated, and now subscribers have eight new games to play. The Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus are a step up from the Essential tier. Everything added to the Essential tier is also available to PS Plus Extra subscribers, while everything available on Essential and Extra is also available to Premium subscribers.
As far as PS Plus Essential goes, subscribers were treated to Alan Wake 2, Cocoon, and Goat Simulator 3. All three of the free PS Plus games for October 2025 are available for subscribers to claim for their digital libraries right now, and now those signed up for Extra and Premium can check out a fresh batch of games as well.
Every Monthly Game Added To PS Plus
New monthly PlayStation Plus games! Sony is always adding goodies to its subscription service. The January 2026 Extra games have been revealed.
As of the latest PS Plus update, there are seven new games available on the PS Plus Extra tier and one new game available on the Premium tier. PS Plus Extra subscribers can now play the Silent Hill 2 remake, the Until Dawn remake, As Dusk Falls, V Rising, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, and Wizard with a Gun. PS Plus Premium subscribers, meanwhile, can play all of those games plus the classic PS1 fighting game Tekken 3.
List of New PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for October 2025
- As Dusk Falls
- Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1
- Silent Hill 2 (2024)
- Tekken 3 (PS Plus Premium only)
- Until Dawn (2024)
- V Rising
- Wizard with a Gun
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon
Tekken 3 on PS Plus Premium comes with bells and whistles not available in the original release. PS Plus Premium subscribers can enjoy up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters when playing Tekken 3 through the service, though there is one catch that will likely disappoint some fans. Unfortunately, Tekken 3 does not have any trophies to unlock. Some of the classic games added to PS Plus Premium have come with trophies, but others have skipped the feature entirely, typically third-party releases like Tekken 3. The old-school Resident Evil games are also without trophies, but we've seen trophy support added post-launch in the past, so hopefully it happens again with these games.
The PS Plus update not only saw games added to the service, but it also saw games removed from the lineup as well. Six games have left PS Plus as of the latest update, with Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Tour de France 2023, The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, and The Last Clockwinder all removed. The PS Plus Extra and Premium games leaving in November 2025 have already been revealed, though subscribers will have to wait and see what games will end up replacing them.
