PlayStation Plus subscribers can now claim July's free games. From July 2, Playstation Plus members can add several critically acclaimed titles to their game library, which includes one of last year's biggest sports simulation games, a sequel from a beloved first-person shooter RPG series, and a viral online multiplayer hit. Players will also be awarded new bonus content for HoYoverse's RPG Genshin Impact.
Last month, PlayStation Plus members were able to add the action-adventure platformer SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, the professional wrestling title AEW Fight Forever, and the side-scrolling beat 'em up Streets of Rage 4 to their collection. Before that, May's offerings consisted of EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, Tunic, and Destiny 2: Lightfall. This month, PlayStation promises some of the best games of the last decade. For titles that are yet to receive a full release on the PS Plus catalog, Sony offers trials to PS Plus Premium subscribers, so there's no commitment to try some of the console's major releases.

For July, PlayStation has added the RPG shooter Borderlands 3, the hockey simulator NHL 24, and the multiplayer social deduction game Among Us to its stacked catalog. Players will also be awarded some Genshin Impact freebies, including 160 Primogems, 4 Fragile Resin, 20 Hero's Wit, 30 Mystic Enhancement Ore, and 150,000 Mora. PlayStation Plus offers these games to every subscription tier, which begins with Essential and ends with Premium. Players can subscribe to PS Plus Essential for the low price of $9.99 per month. For more exclusive content and some of the best PS5 games Sony has to offer, members can bump that subscription up to $14.99 for Extra or $17.99 for Premium.

Borderlands 3 takes place on the planet Pandora, which is rumored to contain Vaults housing untold riches and treasure. Individuals who seek out these Vaults are known as Vault Hunters. Players control these Vault Hunters as they band together to form factions and gain possession of the Vaults. As for NHL 24, the game improves upon its predecessor with a new passing system and physics-based contact that allows players to body-check others into benches and glass windows. Finally, Among Us needs little introduction as one of the most viral multiplayer games in existence, alongside PUBG and Fortnite. Players work together to find the impostors among them and vote them off the map, while impostors work to sabotage the crew's maintenance work. While adding these titles is a win for Sony, there are plenty of games leaving PS Plus Extra later this month.
Since launching the current PlayStation Plus subscription service in June 2022, Sony has added countless titles to its catalog. Some of the more memorable additions include God of War, Little Nightmares, Injustice 2, Fallout 76, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. July's free games will only be available for a month before Sony changes the selection.
